Digital Anxiety
In the spirit of our new website launch, my first topic is (drum roll)….
DIGITAL.
Does the word “digital” evoke a sense of anxiety? Or does it create excitement and anticipation?
Well hopefully it’s the latter… certainly everyone in the Quadrant family is excited and proud to tell the world about our updated website and logo!
But the word “digital” can create some anxious moments. Especially after you launch your new web campaign… and the hits really don’t keep on coming.
But has anyone really “figured out” marketing in the digital realm? Of course there are many people out there with an opinion. And there are exponentially more companies with business models that claim to have found the key to digital communication success. But has anyone really figured out how to leverage digital media, and tie your marketing spend to product sales?
Can anyone really answer these questions with real accuracy:
- How can facebook build my business?
- How can twitter sell more of my products?
- How can foursquare lead to increased traffic at my retail outlets?
- Will I need to create a new logo for my brand that is all in lower-case font to succeed in the digital realm?
All kidding aside, it really comes down to the combination of 3 things: a solid Marketing strategy, real-world practical experience, and good old common sense.
And I am proud to say that QML has all three of those in abundance!
